Daft Ian, The Little Chef and Scandalous Behaviour...6th June 2012 Hello Jen here, relieving Nick of his Breakfast Blogging duties. Good job dude! I’m back at work after having ten blissful days off...and looking at the papers today, it seems that the Queen’s been up to something. I’m not sure what exactly, but it’s got something to do with excessive amounts of bunting. I’ll get back to you on that with an exclusive when I’ve got more details. In my absence Nick’s started playing the theme tune to The Golden Girls at every opportunity, he’s put the Secret Sound kitty up to £1000 and, brace yourself, he’s vacuum packed himself into some sort of Miami Vice t-shirt today. In other news, on today’s Breakfast Show: We had daft Ian on the line today trying to shed some light on this bunting madness. I gave Nick his belated birthday presents. To the untrained eye they could appear to have been impulse bought from a motorway service station. (One on the M42, for instance, perhaps purchased as I was driving home to Harrogate from Malvern yesterday afternoon.) As luck would have it, I believe that Nick is a big fan of all Little Chef merchandise. See the glee in his eyes, evident in the photograph below. I told you all about when I went to see Elton John last night in Harrogate, oh he was good. And then there was the unfortunate business of Nick and I copping an eyeful of two of our colleagues getting amorous in the car park at the crack of dawn. There we are, Nick and I, minding our own business, in the studio as usual, and we’re faced with that sort of scandalous behaviour. What are we meant to do? Not tell everyone listening? Catch you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.
