85-year-old John Bickers, who lives in Harrogate, has the rare ability of being able to say he's seen it all before.
He was one of the original torch bearers at the 1948 Games in London and was chosen to carry the Olympic flame for a second time when it returned to the UK.
His took it through the streets of York on Tuesday 19 June.
