Stray FM has helped to make sure Christmas goes ahead in Harrogate by raising £24,160 for the town's lights and decorations.
The Harrogate at Christmas group ran a special appeal day on Friday 13 July called 'How big is your bauble?' where local businesses and residents were invited to call in and pledge money.
The day started on air with a phone call from Santa, who rang Nick Hancock at Breakfast to insist that Christmas was saved.
Stray FM Managing Director Sarah Barry said the station had to help: "You know it's serious when you get the big fat man on the phone telling you what to do, and I don't mean the Group Programme Director."
The grand total was announced on air by Simon Cotton from Harrogate at Christmas: "Thank you Stray FM for all your help and support. We couldn't do it without you.
"It is to your credit that you play such a big part in the local community."
The Group Programme Director was unavailable for comment.
