Skipton and Ripon MP Julian Smith is planning a road trip in September.

During the 'On Your Doorstep' tour, he will visit 27 communities across his consituency to meet local residents.

Mr Smith said: "My constituency is one of the biggest in England so it is difficult to visit every town and village as regularly as I would like. That is why I decided to undertake this four day tour of some of the villages in my constituency to meet with residents and businesses to hear about their issues and concerns.

"I will be stopping outside village halls, shops, post offices and pubs on the four-day, 27-village tour and hope to meet as many people as possible."

The MP is writing to Parish Councils to let them know about the tour and when he will be in their community.

A full schedule of locations and exact stopping points can be found here.
