Yorkshire is celebrating winning a total of Olympic 12 medals - more than many other nations.
Athletes from the region have brought home seven gold, two silver and three bronze.
If it was an independent country, Yorkshire would sit 12th in the medal table.
As part of the celebrations, all Leeds-based competitors and coaches were welcomed home at an event on Millennium Square on Monday 13 August.
Councillor Ann Castle, the Lord Mayor of Leeds, hosted a civic reception for the athletes and their families.
She said: "On behalf of the city I would like to extend our congratulations to all our athletes at what has been a truly memorable and exciting Olympic Games.
"The Games have been absolutely amazing, and it is a real honour to have so many talented young athletes coming from our city."
