Patrick Dunlop

Patrick Dunlop

He's one of half of our news team and has made a name for himself as Stray FM's Oracle!

Patrick James Innes Dunlop came into the world on a snowy 20th January 1979 in Guildford in Surrey. He lived in nearby Godalming until he was 3 and then moved to East Sussex.

After school and sixth-form college, he went to Falmouth College of Arts (now called University College Falmouth) in Cornwall to do a degree in Broadcasting Studies. That led to a job with the BBC at Television Centre in London. Patrick really enjoyed his time there, but it wasn't quite the job for him - news was more his thing! So he decided to go back to Falmouth and get a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.

In August 2002, he started covering the weekend news shifts at Stray FM and soon became a full-time member of the team. After being there for so long, he's now considered to be a 'veteran'!

When he's not working, Patrick likes to catch up with friends and family, eat/drink, watch TV and enjoy the great outdoors. He should do a bit more exercise and has put that on his list for 2010!
