Sunbeams Day Nursery in Harrogate is headed by mother of two, Registered General Nurse and Health Visitor, Kate Plews. Kate places great value on the family unit. She has created nurseries which provide a stimulating environment in which care and education is provided for children from birth to 5 years. Kate develops the nurseries using the Early Years Foundation Stage (see the links page for more info.)
Sunbeams' nurseries are purpose-built and planned to meet the needs of babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in their own special areas. In fact, their Harrogate nursery is specifically built to help children learn – right from the lighting to the soundproofed walls which aid speech development.
They want the parents to be comfortable in the knowledge that their child is enjoying the loving care that Sunbeams offers. They do not aim to replace the parents, but to support them in the care and education of their children.
