Award Winning Stray FM!

We are a smidgen chuffed with ourselves...

We have been named as the Radio Academy’s Winner of the Nation and Regions award for Yorkshire 2010.

The station was praised by judges for owning their patch and for the bright and upbeat way they had served the local community including a whole day of live shows from the Knaresborough Bed Race.

The Stray team picked up their award at a Radio Academy event in Leeds from Matt Foster from the judging panel.

BCB from Bradford and our sister station Yorkshire Coast Radio in Scarborough were the runners up.

Station MD Sarah Barry was delighted: “This is a fantastic end to a fantastic first full year as part of the UKRD group. 2010 was a record breaker for Stray and I’d like to thank our brilliant team. The success we’ve enjoyed is entirely down to the people at the station, they are our biggest asset, they are Stray FM”.
