All your Great Yorkshire Show Questions Answered

When and where is the 2018 Great Yorkshire Show?

The 2018 Great Yorkshire Show is the 160th edition of the biggest agricultural show in the country, and it takes place at the Great Yorkshire Showground from Tuesday 10th July - Thursday 12th July.

How do I get to the Great Yorkshire Show?

You can get to the show by car, train, bus or even helicopter!

Check out the full Great Yorkshire Show travel guide on the Great Yorkshire Show website.

How many people are expected to attend the Great Yorkshire Show?

Approximately 130,000 people will attend over the three days.

I'm not going to the Great Yorkshire Show, but want to get around in Harrogate, will I be able to?

The short answer is yes, but of course, with that many people attending there will be travel problems.

The main changes to normal are the one way system on Wetherby Road, and much more traffic than normal on the A59 between Harrogate and the A1(M).

Wetherby Road will be inbound only from 6am until approximately 2pm, then outbound only from 2pm-9pm. Traffic will only be able to travel in one direction from the Calcutt turn on the A658 to the Kestrel roundabout during those times.

The A59 between York and Harrogate is expected to be extremely busy between 7:30am and 11:30am everyday of the show, with delays expected from the A1(M) particularly. Those travelling to Harrogate on show days for other reasons are encouraged to find an alternative route.

Keep up to date with the latest travel news for Harrogate, Craven & Wharfedale throughout the show.

Will anyone famous be at the Great Yorkshire Show?

Yes! Plenty of famous faces will grace the showground.

This year includes a Royal visit on Wednesday, when HRH The Princess Royal will make an appearance.

Have you kept up your New Year Resolution
