Grade: SO2 Salary: £29,055- £30,756

 

Hours: 37 per week

 

18 months fixed term contract

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Are you enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated? If so, you could be just the person we need to take the lead in transforming our housing options service.

 

 

 

You will be one of two Senior Housing Options Officers supervising and providing professional housing and homelessness advice to a team of eight.

 

 

 

You should have a sound understanding of homelessness and allocations legislation and the new Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. Homelessness services are experiencing fresh challenges and you will be expected to develop an innovative prevention approach that seeks to minimise, reduce and prevent homelessness across the Harrogate district. You will work proactively with neighbouring districts in York and North Yorkshire to implement best practice in response to changing legislation and will contribute to the development of our new Homelessness Strategy.

 

 

 

You should be educated to A level standard or equivalent, or hold a relevant professional qualification. You should be able to demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of running a customer-focused, front line housing options and homelessness service and have experience in analysing data and writing and presenting reports.
