The successful candidate will be responsible for account development and maintenance with the objective of maximising revenue in line with the company’s long and short term goals.

A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of our growing clients as an Account Development Manager for the South West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for account development and maintenance with the objective of maximising revenue in line with the company’s long and short term goals.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact and develop dormant accounts within the South West region
  • Ensure all sales enquiries received are recorded and that quotations are produced promptly
  • Obtain detailed information from the customer following any current issued instructions and guidelines
  • Liaise with purchasing and product support where appropriate to assist with stock enquiries and technical information
  • Ensure requests for cancellations or reschedules are in writing and authorised by the management
  • Retain in depth product knowledge to be able to sell products offered by the company (full training provided)
  • Be familiar with the needs of key account customers, and be able to prioritise quotations with regards to timescale and value to the company
  • Obtain support on price, delivery and technical information via product managers
  • Carry out client visits on a daily basis

In order to be successful with this role you do not need to have long-term sales experience, our client is open to interviewing people who are fresh into the industry. The working hours for this role are 9am-5:30pm but these are flexible to meet client needs. This role is based from home, but you will be supported by someone who works internally at all times. The benefits of working for this company include a company car, phone, laptop, 25 days holiday, pension scheme and private health care (after the probationary period). In return for this our client is offering a salary of £25,000-£30,000. In addition to this the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain commission when they achieve 80% or more of their sales target (commission is uncapped).
