We are seeking a highly motivated Food Services Supervisor to coordinate the service in our staff canteen. Taking control of the hospitality, vending, and assisting with hotel functions where appropriate. You will also be responsible for the clean down after each serving to staff.

An opportunity has arisen within our staff restaurant for a Staff Food Services Supervisor.


We are seeking a highly motivated  Food Services Supervisor to coordinate the service in our staff canteen. Taking control of the hospitality, vending, and assisting with hotel functions where appropriate. You will also be responsible for the clean down after each serving to staff.


It is essential to have excellent communication skills, be able to use your initiative and have a working knowledge of current food hygiene regulations. As a working Staff Food Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and promoting the daily service working on a rota basis 5 days over 7.


You will have experience working in similar environments and an understanding and following of HACCP systems, a valid certificate in Level 2 food safety, and training and or experience of working in catering as a supervisor.


We are also looking for…

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a broad range of food knowledge is desirable.
  • You should have worked in a busy kitchen and thrive under pressure.
  • You will have experience and desire to work with fresh, quality food.
  • You will be an excellent team player and who can respectfully communicate to the team.

You should possess a lot of stamina/energy to keep up to speed during occasional hectic spells of business.

  • You should have a desire to aim for high standards.
  • You should be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work.

Duties will include;

  • You will be responsible for kitchen management including health and safety checks being aware of potential hazards, checking equipment is fit for purpose and the hygiene and cleanliness including the clean down of the kitchen at the end of your shift.
  • You will ensure consistency in production and presentation of all dishes.
  • You will minimise wastage by using the correct specifications and checking delivery notes against invoices.
  • You will check the quality and quantity of all food items delivered.
  • You will rotate all food stock items and will report on unusually high or low stock levels.

Working hours will be 5/7 on a 45 hour week with a competitive hourly rate of circa £8.50 per hour £19890 per annum.
