We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and motivated Administrative Assistant who has a thorough knowledge of clerical and office routines.

The successful candidate must have exceptional customer service skills together with excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively whilst accurately as part of a team in a very busy school office. ICT and typing skills are essential and a willingness to acquire new skills would be useful, along with a flexible approach to change and ability to work accurately in an environment where interruptions are common.

The applicant should be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel. Previous experience of working within a school environment and knowledge of Bromcom and SIMs packages would be an advantage although not essential.


The role, based in the Sixth Form Office at St Aidan’s, is for 21 hours per week: Monday and Friday 9.00 am until 1.30 pm and Tuesday to Thursday 9.00 am until 1.00 pm. There could be some flexibility around this working pattern. The post is term time only including training days plus one week during the school holidays.
