'Room 17. Four walls full of lipstick, laughter, hairspray and Horlicks. Nana is nut brown and wrinkled and she has chicken fillets for arms. And she treats me like I’m way more amazing than I actually am.'

Every summer, Jane and her Nana shared the same room in the same hotel in the same seaside resort for the same two weeks. That was until Nana started to lose her memory.
Set in a seaside hotel of halcyon childhood summers, this autobiographical play by award-winner Jane Upton journeys back to find a beloved Nana before she forgot who she was.
Flitting between the past and present, Nottingham and the Isle of Wight, and childhood and old age, Finding Nana is about the universal, unconditional love between a granddaughter and her Nana and the ugly truth of losing it all.

“You will not only feel that you know Jane’s Nana, but leave with your loved ones with you” BritishTheatre.com

“Promises sepia-tinted sentiment and delivers something far harder and more truthful...Ingenious design, epic sound, smart and understated” The Stage
