Main Street, Austwick LA2 8BH

Entry Fee: Suggested £1 donation on the gate

Monday 27th May, 2019

The village of Austwick is putting on a show this Bank Holiday Monday as it stages it’s 38th Street Market and Fell Race. The village will be decked out with cuckoos of all shapes and sizes, as the residents get creative and welcome you into the village from 9.30am – 4.30pm on 27th.

Highlights of the day will be the Thwaites Dray Horses, Settle & Giggleswick Brass band, vintage cars and all the local crafts, produce, plants and baking on offer. Children will enjoy the games, activities, face painting and are invited to join the Alice In Wonderland themed fancy-dress parade.

All funds raised on the day go towards the upkeep of two key village facilities; the Village Hall and the Playing Fields, used by a wide variety of groups and clubs in the village, from the WI, to Young Farmers, the school and sports teams.

The village are very grateful to the main sponsors this year for their generous support of the Street Market: Tarmac, Fairhurst Stone and Settle Coal.

Where possible, the community ask that you arrive by bike, on foot, car share or ideally travel on the public bus, as parking is limited and the main street through the village is closed between 9am and 4pm on 27th May.
