Reaching the top of the 'Wuthering Heights'

It was the day that Kate Bush reached such Wuthering Heights in the charts!

It was back on this day (11th March) in 1978 that Kate Bush went to Number One with her debut single.

The song inspired by the Emily Bronte novel would stay there for four weeks.

Her record company wanted her to go with another single off the album instead.

But Kate stuck to her guns and we're so glad she did:
