Glasto gets going

Published at 6:05am 22nd June 2018.

Glastonbury started to get into its groove.

It was on this day (22nd June) in 1971 that the second ever festival took place in England.

It was held over 5 days to coincide with the summer solstice (although as per usual it was a very British summer!).

Over 7,000 people turned out to see acts like David Bowie and Hawkwind.
