A Harrogate man is hoping to set a new world record.

James White, who owns a Latin and Ballroom dance school and entertainment company, will try and dance for 24 hours straight on Friday, to secure his place in the Guinness World Records and raise money for Children in Need.

Starting at the Royal Hall at 2pm, he will begin dancing Latin and Ballroom with various partners.

There will also be other events going on at the same time, such as a Sequence Dance, Latin and Ballroom Gala night, late night Salsa club, FitSteps classes, a tea dance and children's dance workshops.

James is encouraging people to come along and cheer him on, as well as make a donation to charity.

CNG is one of the businesses supporting the event, which is hoping to bring thousands through the doors.
