A project to build a garden for children with special needs has started near Harrogate. 

Lorna Batchelor, who is a garden designer with her own business in Green Hammerton, wants to create an interactive multi-sensory garden at Nidderdale Children's Resource Centre in Killinghall.

Lorna's design is inspired by her 10-year-old son George, who has severe learning difficulties.

She's asking for donations towards the project before 4 January.
