Child Sexual Exploitation: "don't pretend it's not happening here"

There are children in Harrogate, right now, falling victim to sexual exploitation.

That's the chilling warning from officers ahead of the launch of a new campaign.

People locally are being urged not to "put blinkers on" and pretend it's an issue that only happens somewhere else.

National CSE Awareness Day takes place on Friday, highlighting some of the warning signs adults can look out for.

As part of a news special, we'll be speaking to Simon Aston, a Safer Communities Officer with the Safer Harrogate District Community Safety Group, in tonight's Health and Well-being Show (Tuesday, 7pm).
