North Yorkshire Police has launched a competition to name its new tractor.

It was donated to the force to help raise awareness of rural crime and how officers are tackling the problem.

The competition is open to children at primary schools across North Yorkshire and entries must be received by Sunday 10 July.

The best name for the tractor will be chosen by the Chief Constable and announced at the Great Yorkshire Show.

Whoever wins will be offered a visit to their school by North Yorkshire Police and the tractor.

There have been numerous suggestions so far, but one which has proved popular is 'Tractor McTractorFace'.

Children can enter the competition here.
