AUDIO: What it means to be a young carer in Harrogate

Growing up can be tough for many teenagers.

But for Stephen Kirk, from Bilton in Harrogate, his childhood has carried extra responsibility.

Since the age of seven, he's supported his mum who has a condition which produces migraine-like symptoms

He helps with chores like getting dressed and cleaning,

Stephen, 15, is one of 700,000 young carers in the UK today.

Yesterday, the keen photographer joined a group of other carers in taking on the Three Peaks Challenge for the Carers' Resource charity.
