WATCH: War heroes remembered with river of poppies

A North Yorkshire market town has marked Remembrance Sunday in a very special way.

More than 35,000 knitted poppies have lined the route of the annual parade in Thirsk.

It all started when Thirsk Yarnbombers - well-known for knitting things like Tour de Yorkshire bunting and jumpers for chickens - appealed for donations of wool to make their own tribute to our fallen war heroes.
