WATCH: 'Spotty house' returns as Knaresborough gears up for Tour

With just a few days to go, Knaresborough is getting ready for the Tour de Yorkshire, but it wouldn't be a major cycle race without the town's famous 'spotty house'.

After months without any decoration, The Royal Oak on Bond End is once again covered in spots.

In 2014, images of the house taken during the Tour de France went around the world.

This year, the spots have a yellow and blue design to go with the colours of the Tour de Yorkshire.

Owner Tony Handley said: "People say 'why do you do it?' Well, of course we do it to support Welcome to Yorkshire, but the children just love the spotty house and it's great from that point of view."

The house even appaears in the highlights of last year's Tour de Yorkshire - watch carefully...
