People in Otley have marked a minute's silence in memory of the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

They gathered by Otley maypole at 11am, just hours after confirmation that a resident of the town, Wendy Fawell, was among those killed.

Ray Georgeson, Leader of Otley Town Council, expressed the shock that many people were still feeling: "The horror in the way she and others have perished is something that is very difficult to come to terms with."

A book of condolence has been opened in the Town Council offices.

Mayor Nigel Francis spoke before the minute's silence:

Rachel Fawell, a member of Wendy's extended family, and Lesley Glavin spoke to Stray FM:

As the town paused, the Union Flag was flown at half-mast from the maypole.
