The Cave Rescue Organisation has released dramatic video footage of an accident involving a quad bike in the Dales.

A member of the team saw it bounce and roll down a steep hill as he drove to collect more volunteers for another incident involving a 10-year-old girl on a school trip.

He reported it and was joined by a colleague who had been escorting other members of the school group back to Clapham.

She stayed with the quad bike's injured driver, a 49-year-old man, who was found higher up the hill.

More rescue team members arrived and the man was put into a vacuum mattress to be carried up to more level ground where a helicopter could land.

The air ambulance originally requested for the first incident was diverted and flew the injured man to hospital.

Meanwhile, a second air ambulance took the girl from Gaping Gill to Clapham.
