Parking charges in Craven's public car parks are remaining the same for the fifth year running.

The cost of parking permits has also been frozen, meaning that they still cost as little as 13p per day.

Skipton's pop and shop scheme will continue, allowing shoppers to use High Street Car Park for up to 30 minutes for 20p.

Paul Ellis, Director of Services at Craven District Council, said: "These are difficult times financially for local authorities, but we felt it was important to keep parking charges the same in order to maintain the vibrancy of our towns and encourage more visitors."
