North Yorkshire's Trading Standards officers say they're on the lookout for people selling fake goods in the run-up to Christmas.

The warning follows the sentencing of a man who was caught advertising counterfeit clothing, bags and shoes on Facebook.

Christopher Dempster, of Linton Rise, Catterick Garrison, pleaded guilty to 14 charges under the Trade Marks Act 1994.

He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, given a rehabilitation order and told to pay investigation costs.
