If you've ever counted your steps using a pedometer or a fitness tracker, you'll be aware that sometimes it's hard to get your step count as high as it should be. Local gas company CNG are taking part in a challenge which will not only help them stay fit, but will raise much needed funds for a local charity. 

With an aim of raising a whopping £50,000 for Harrogate based Saint Michael's Hospice, gas company CNG are joining a challenge organised by Rob Northfield along with the support of footballer Eddie Gray.

Maximising the number of steps taken everyday by either individuals or groups of people, the Eddie Gray Step Challenge which will not only involve the CNG team of staff, but many other local companies as well.

Not only will this challenge get your fitter in the month of May, it will also be raising money for a charity dear to many people in the Yorkshire area. 

Nick Hancock talked to Rob Northfield who is aiming for one million steps in May, Jeff Dunning a volunteer from Saint Michaels Hospice and Fae Oates a Marketing Executive from CNG on Stray FM's Business Hub about their step challenge.
