Stray FM's Health and Wellbeing Show heard from Beth Barron who is the Private Patient Development Manager at Harrogate Harlow

"We offer a fantastic service with a wide range of brilliant consultants, with access to a range of specialties whether that be general surgery, gastro, orthopedics or pediatrics

"We have provided health care access for a number of years now, but over the last year and a half we have really started to focus on developing the service

"We know there are a number of people out there, whether it be with their insurance or they'd like to self-fund, who want to get access to healthcare quicker

"If we can provide that access... that's what we want to do and reinvest the money into our NHS services."

An endoscopy is a procedure using an instrument called an endoscope which allows the examination of the inside of the body.

An endoscope is a long, thin, flexible tube with a camera on the end which allows medical staff to observe any areas of concern in detail.

Featuring five state-of-the-art procedure rooms in a purpose built unit and a private ward in a quiet wing of Harrogate District Hospital, the unit also has the availability of other on-site hospital services such as the high dependency and intensive care unit.

If you'd like to find out more about the services offered at Harrogate Harlow you can get in touch with the team online or by phone on 01423 555430
