As we approach a new year, it's time to set some New Year's Resolutions.

We all know keeping New Year's Resolutions can be a challenge...

And sometimes we have success!

But if you're stick for ideas, we've got you covered...

 

1. Read more books

This is a popular one.

It's especially fitting for Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale, which is home to the UK's Most Bookish Town.

It's sometimes a challenge, but setting yourself achievable goals should lead to success!

Also, make it part of your routine - if you scroll through your social media feeds before going to bed, maybe try replacing that with a book? Unless, of course, you're scrolling through the Stray FM app!

Or if you often turn to your phone when you're bored, maybe download an e-reader app so you can read books instead of Tweets.

 

2. Stop buying meal deals for lunch

As much as they're convenient, it's often a lot cheaper to make lunch at home. Usually healthier too.

Maybe make it a competition with your colleagues to see who can be most consistent, and to see whose sandwiches are the best...

You could even agree a penalty with your colleagues for forgetting your lunch.

 

3. Be healthier

Two words which can be split in half - into getting more active and eating more healthily.

Firstly, try and make getting active more fun - it doesn't just have to be running marathons and going to the gym.

If you don't think that will work, maybe try and give yourself incentives like buying a gym membership for the year in January - if you don't use it, you're wasting hundreds of pounds!

When it comes to eating healthily, you don't need to just eat hundreds of carrots.
