A Harrogate charity has held a celebration for people with long-term mental health conditions who have completed courses to boost their employment prospects.

Claro Enterprises, which is a sheltered workshop based in Starbeck, helps clients to improve their quality of life, confidence, independence and self-esteem, as well as teaching them new skills.

Seven clients have achieved Level 1 qualifications in IT Skills and Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development through the Harrogate Skills 4 Living Centre.

Owen Jones, General Manager of Claro Enterprises, said: "We wanted to recognise their achievements by holding the event and were particularly pleased that the Mayor of The Borough of Harrogate, Nick Brown, could attend with his wife, the Mayoress Linda Brown, to present the clients with their certificates."
