Harrogate Town Football Club Promoted by
Harrogate Town Football Club

Harrogate Town Football Club and Harrogate College are offering local teenagers the opportunity to gain a BTEC qualification with the club.

An official invitation from Simon Weaver, Manager of Harrogate Town FC

“We are proud to offer the opportunity to Play, Train and Learn alongside Harrogate Town and Harrogate College. Aimed at students aged 16-18, our education programme provides a BTEC qualification as well as the chance to train every day like a professional footballer.

This programme can lead directly into a degree in a sports related subject, for example, a BSc (Hons) Physical Education, an opportunity to gain a soccer scholarship in the USA, or provide the platform to go straight into the football industry in a variety of different roles.

Our college Academy programme strengthens our commitment to the development of young footballers across Harrogate and District. The partnership we have with Harrogate College is important to everyone at the football club, not simply as a way of producing exciting young footballers, but as a way of placing our club firmly at the heart of our community.”

Harrogate Town FC and Harrogate College invite you an open day on Tues 28th August 2-4pm at CNG Stadium in Harrogate

With GCSE results upon us, the options available for school leavers and teenagers are vast.

But if becoming a footballer or working in the football industry is something you'd enjoy, then this opportunity is HUGE.

Equivalent to 3-A levels and potentially leading on to a university degree, American soccer scholarships or careers in the football industry, the 2 year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport course with Harrogate Town FC and Harrogate College has been gaining in popularity since it was first launched in 2016

An open training session at the CNG Stadium on Wetherby Road in Harrogate on Tuesday 28th September 2 - 4pm with Simon Weaver is the next step.
