Proving popular with local families, Harrogate Town football matches have become a day out destination for all ages.

Usually taking place on Tuesday evenings or Saturday afternoons, match days at the CNG Stadium on Wetherby Road in Harrogate have become quite the hot spot for local families.

A strong community feel and friendly atmosphere that the club has become known for has gone a long way towards securing a fan base of all ages.

"I've brought my lovely wife Karen, my two sons Ben and Alex, my friend Stuart and his children Hayden and Martha... we come quite often and we're big Harrogate Town fans... they {the children]  have got to know a lot of the first team players quite well including Ben Parker, James Belshaw, Simon Weaver... it's a lovely community feel."

"It's just so fun and all of my family come... nobody will be picked on for being here, we don't care who's here as long as there's lots of people. It's a really good atmosphere."

Harrogate Town and the Local Lotto

This year has seen the town of Harrogate gain it's very own local lottery and a recent partnership with Harrogate Town FC has seen them become a 'good cause'.

This means that funding from the Harrogate lotto will go partially towards the Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation which aims to improve the physical and mental health, and social and individual development of the local area.

The lotto offers people the chance to buy weekly £1 tickets which could result in prizes and support for the community.
