Neurotherapy clinic in Harrogate has caused some life-changing results for one local Mum and her son who lives with brain development issues.

  • Despite multiple attempts at other treatments and therapies, it's been The Brain Collective in Harrogate that has begun some significant changes in one local boy.
  • The Brain Collective offers the most comprehensive intensive neurotherapy in the UK today for children and adults.
  • Depression, autism, brain injuries, epilepsy and serious brain development issues are amongst the conditions that can be treated.

A local Mum, who will remain anonymous, has been telling Stray FM about her young son has been helped by the team at The Brain Collective.

How the Brain Collective has helped my son

Global Development Delay is a term commonly used for children under 18 who take longer to reach milestones than other children their age.

This can be caused by a whole variety of reasons and can affect learning to walk and talk, social and emotional interactions, and learn new skills

A local lady has been telling the Stray FM Health and Wellbeing Show how her son, who lives with the condition, has been helped.

"The condition is called global development delay, and the child is delayed in every way - physically, mentally, emotionally.

"It's such a serious case of global development delay it would be years of therapy before we see him start to behave like a normal child, but I personally think the sky is the limit.

"There is no limit with neurotherapy and that's hope. And hope is all we need."

Anonymous Mum

She explained how she would regularly browse the internet searching for break-through therapies and treatments that could help her son, but it was discovering The Brain Collective in Harrogate recently that has given the family hope.

They begun to see some significant changes in the young boys behaviour.

"Because of the brain damage he couldn't have his hair cut, he couldn't have his head touched. He would literally violently cry

"We needed three people to cut his hair.

"And after the therapy... he sat with just the hair dresser and she was cutting his hair with the scissors and he just sat there with his iPad with no complaints at all.

"That is a big thing."

She describes him being able to also have his nails cut too and explains that he can understand a lot more.

"He's not talking yet, but his understanding was like a one-year old, but it's now up to a two or three year old in terms of what he can understand about what's going on."

The clinic has also provided support and treatment for  other members of the family for anxiety, depression and stress.
