When Good Neighbours Become Good Supporters

On Wednesday 3rd May Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale's most deserving residents will be recognised at a glamorous awards show at Rudding Park. Stray FM's Local Hero Awards are now accepting nominations from a number of categories. You can find out more and nominate those who deserve recognition on the Local Heroes page.

One of the many awards is Best Charitable Company. That particular award recognises a local company that goes the extra mile in giving back to the community or charity. Sponsoring that award is Harrogate Neighbours, a local charitable company that has offered care to the elderly in the Harrogate District for over 40 years.

They offer care in a number of ways, including taking meals to those who need them, right through to care towards the end of a persons life.

Sue Cawthray, Harrogate Neighbours Cheif Exective, joined Stray FM's Health and Wellbeing Show to explain the services they offer the community and why they've chose to recognise companies that go the extra mile.
