It's time to encourage the kids to get into the garden! And what better way than with a bit of friendly competition...

The competition is open to all primary schools in the local area, and gives children the opportunity to win not only £25 for themselves but also £100 for their school thanks to Aquascapes and Landscaping.

And the rules are simple - the tallest sunflower wins! All you will need is a sunflower seed, then it's up to you whether you plant it in a pot with some compost before replanting in the garden, or simply plant straight in your flower bed in a sunny spot. The competition will be judged in September, but be sure to keep Aquascapes and Landscaping up to date with some pictures on their facebook page.

Beth Parsons from Stray FM's Home and Garden Show went to visit her old primary school Deighton Gates in Wetherby to meet Rob Theweneti from Aquascapes and Landscaping as well Thomas, Chloe, Zane, Thomas and Esme from Year 5.
