A fund set up in Otley for the family of one of the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing has raised more than £4,000 in less than 24 hours.

A JustGiving page was launched after 50-year-old Wendy Fawell was confirmed as being among the victims.

Tom Featherstone, who launched the page, said: "I have seen several pages related to those affected by the attack, but I'd really like this all to go directly to Wendy's family - they can choose to put it towards funeral costs, something in memory of Wendy or even a family holiday to get them away from all of this."

One person, who donated £20, said: "Money can't change the terrible thing that's happened, but I hope it helps in some way for her children ❤️."

Councillor Ray Georgeson, Leader of Otley Town Council, has expressed his "sincere condolences" to Wendy's family and said the town would come together to support them.

He added: "This is a good community that looks after itself and I'm quite sure that any requests for help that Wendy's family need will be met by all of us here in the town - and that's an open offer."
