Lynton Academy

If Billy Elliot was anything to go by, a career in dance only happens after dancing ballet on the streets of County Durham. But these days the options are much bigger!

Lynton Academy of Dance offers the opportunity to do a BTEC in dance which is equivalent to A-Levels, whether it's tap, ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary or anything else in between!

Beth Parsons from Stray FM's Family Show went to find out more about Lynton Academy from Lynne Croome the Principle of the Academy, and students Maggie, Emily, Maisie, Jessica, Louise, Emily, Annalise and Bee about how young people are keen to further their careers in Dance.
