Pateley Bridge is turning back the clock on Saturday and Sunday for its annual 1940s Weekend.

The event will recreate wartime Britain, with military displays, people wearing period costumes and entertainment including dancing and street music.

Shops, cafés and pubs are also getting into the spirit by putting sandbags in doorways and taping up windows.

Other highlights include a flyover by a World War Two spotter plane and the chance to be photographed with a full-size Spitfire.
