A group of primary school dancers from Ripon are on their way to London to compete in a national dance final.

TeenStar 17 is a dance competition that groups from all over the country enter.

S.O Reps are representatives of a larger group called Schools Out.

Schools Out is a dance school held at Cathedral, Holy Trinity Juniors, Meadowside and Bilton Grange primary schools.

S.O Reps had to get through three qualifying rounds to get to the final at the Alban Arena in North London.

Sam Rich is the teacher and founder of Schools Out.

S.O Reps will be competing in the pre-teens group.

They will be up against 33 acts from across the UK.

The judges will announce their top three dance acts and top three singing acts.

If S.O Reps are placed in the top three by the industry judges then the text votes play a massive part in their position.

S.O Reps stopped off at Stray FM before their trip down to London.

Ella D, Ella G, Enola, Kiera, Isabella, Sophia, Ayesha and Liam are all members of the group: "We're nervous but we want to stay positive so we're trying not to be nervous.

"School's Out is a dance school, and School's Out Reps is where you go into if Sam says you've been doing really good.

"TEXT TEAM21 TO 84222."

Assistant Coach Ella is part of the senior group at the school.

She has helped a lot with rehearsals and preparation for S.O Rep's trip to London: "These guys are the cream of the crop of all of the kids we found from local schools, and this is our youngest competition team - they're the best little ones we could find.

"Sam manages everything and she's just amazing - she's taken me under her wing and shown me how it's done, and I feel like I've really come on in teaching.

"It's been an absolute pleasure to teach these guys."
