Getting the chance to meet the Queen doesn't happen to many people, and we can't promise to make that happen. But we CAN promise to give the chance to meet one of the Queen's very own chefs!

Colin Alderson who was the Queen's official pastry chef for five years has cooked for many a royal occasion from banquets and parties for hundreds of people, to simple breakfasts for Queen Elizabeth 2nd herself. He has also seen how Christmas happens in the royal household, including Windsor House, Sandringham Palace and on board the Royal Yacht Britannia. Something which very few people know about...

And on Monday 27th November 7 - 9pm you will get the chance to hear some Royal Christmas secrets when Colin Alderson will appear as a guest lecturer for yet another Rossett Lecture at Rossett School in Harrogate. Book your place here.

The Rossett Lectures have been running successfully for the past 20 years as part of Rossett Adult Learning, and feature a huge range of different subject areas and guests, such as history, psychology, biology, zoology, archaeology, art and music just to name a few. You can see what has been discussed recently here, but keep an eye here for the new 2018 term lectures.

Usually you can watch the lectures on a weekly basis by signing up with Rosett Adult Learning for the entire term which includes ten different lectures, but for the very special visit from Colin Alderson, they are giving the chance to see it on a one-off basis.

You can find out more about this lecture as well as everything else on offer at Rossett Adult Learning here. And listen to when Stray FM's Beth Parsons went to meet Malcolm who organises the Rossett Lectures and a selection of people who attend.
