Volunteers from across Yorkshire have descended on Leeds Children's Hospital to wrap Christmas presents in time for the big day.

Toys and gifts have been donated to the Leeds Children's Hospital Appeal, which is part of the Leeds Hospital Charitable Foundation.

It's so that all patients will get a present this Christmas.

Teams of volunteers from Lloyds Banking Group have helped to wrap the gifts, which will then be distributed throughout the children's wards at Leeds General Infirmary and all other children's centres throughout the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Most of the gifts are distributed at Christmas, but some are kept back for birthdays or special occasions throughout the year to help make the patient experience a little brighter.

Lisa Bowman, Therapeutic and Specialist Play Manager at Leeds Children's Hospital, spoke to Stray FM about her job and the Christmas period:

Jody Craddock, Brand and PR Manager for Leeds Hospital Charitable Foundation, is overwhelmed with the donations received so far:

Last Christmas, over 3,000 toys were donated and the Charitable Foundation is expecting a similar number this year.
