How are your New Year resolutions going?  If you haven't yet set any, or they've gone out the window already, Doctor Jason O'Connor from O'Connor Chiropractic in Harrogate and Ilkley has some tips to give your January a boost.

A steady start

If you indulged far too much over the festive period, the temptation may be to hit the gym hard, but the key is to begin with a steady regime and build gradually.  Doctor Jason O'Connor suggests a simple walk or merely getting outside for some fresh air which can be a great start!

Taking the dog for a walk is great exercise

Don't be afraid to ask for help

If you haven't done any exercise for a while, it can be a rather daunting prospect on deciding where to begin. This is perhaps where a personal trainer can be worth their weight in gold on advising you what's best to reach your final goal or maybe join a fitness class so you have others around you to assist if need be.

A PT Can be a huge help

It's all about your health

If you are making new year resolutions, it's no good simply going on a crash diet because that may be far more detrimental to your well-being than you think. It has to be more about your overall health which yes, includes healthy eating but also making time for yourself and loved ones.  As doctor Jason O'Connor says, "family is everything!"
