With March here, and hopefully most of the snow gone, attention turns to spring and when it comes to gardening inspiration, Rossett Adult Learning in Harrogate offer two courses to help you learn and feel motivated to get outdoors and get to work on making a beautiful area the whole family can enjoy.

Planning for a Beautiful Garden

As with so many things in life, planning is key if you are to make the most of an outdoor space and when it comes to gardening, the winter months are the perfect time for this.

Rossett Adult Learning offer a 10-week course running from September to December every Wednesday from 7-9PM and course tutor Susan Wells, can tailor the course depending on your and the class needs.

As Susan says, it's a "perfect time of year to plan your garden.  Sit and look at books and decide what kind of style you want to go for, whether that be a complete change, starting from scratch or perhaps concentrate on one particular area."

Gardening for year round colour

From January, Rossett Adult Learning offer a further 10-week course that goes into detail regarding what type of plants suit different styles of garden and soil type.

How many times have you spent money on plants that you deem suitable for a particular area outside, only for them to die several weeks later?

Susan explains that her courses are designed to prevent money waste and give you the confidence to walk into a garden centre with the necessary knowledge about the plants on offer and be able to decipher which ones are best for the area you're working on.
