Following their best ever season with a promotion to the National League, the team at Harrogate Town FC talk about the new seasons.

Beginning on Saturday 4th August with a match against Sutton United at the CNG Stadium on Wetherby Road in Harrogate, the next season for Harrogate Town Football Club isn't too far away.

So what preparations are in place and what are some of the feelings ahead of their next step...

How Harrogate Town FC are feeling ahead of the new football season?

Simon Weaver, Harrogate Town FC Manager says he's "optimistic and it's something we've all worked towards... but that's gone now and we have to concentrate on a league campaign at a new level... we've gotta get points on the board, enjoy it and relish the challenge."

With a focus on the players fitness this year and some promising additions to the team including Callum Howe,  Kelvin Langmead, Jack Muldoon and Arran Williams, Simon explains that their running times are already impressing the coaches - "In a short space of time, the lads have acted professionally and been very dedicated and stuck to their fitness schedule... I'm very proud of them."

Ryan Fallowfield, right back for Harrogate Town FC says "Every team that we play is going to be a challenge because obviously it's a new league for us. There are some big ones in there for us like Chesterfield who have just come down and Barnet and Leyton Orient, but I think every single game is going to be a test for us. I think we'll do alright."

Callum Howe, centre half for Harrogate Town FC says "We just want to finish as high up the league as we can , obviously coming up into the league it's a step up for the club but I feel like seeing as how pre-season has gone we can do well this year. We've been working really hard, we've done double training sessions most days."

Phil Priestley, goalkeeper coach for Harrogate Town FC says "Looking forward to it. It was great when we finished last year winning the play off final, but it's back to business again now, we start again, new challenge for us and we're all up for it."

Rachel Davis, the team physio for Harrogate Town FC says "There have been a lot of running sessions, they've done a lot of ball work, they've done a lot of fitness work, we're ready for the start of the season and we're ready to go... pre-hab is very important, doing your foam rolling, your hamstring work, your balance work before the game, your glute band work, it all puts your body in a prime position."

Paul Thirlwell, assistant head coach for Harrogate Town FC says "We're excited, looking forward to it, had a good pre-season and, touched wood, stayed away from any serious injuries which is the main thing. The lads are looking good... they're a great bunch, fit, and now they've come back as fit as they can be."
