As part of back care awareness week, a local chiropractor is giving health advice following many patient success stories.

Back pain is one of the leading causes of taking time of work, and can be so debilitating it affects all aspects of your life.

When 64 year old Stuart Blake saw no improvement in his severe back and leg pain after treatment and advice from hospital he tried O'Connor Chiropractic. Much to his delight, the pain (which originated after a car crash many years ago) significantly improved following a consultation and course of chiropractic treatment with Dr Jason O'Connor

Tips for looking after your back

Whilst O'Connor Chiropractic can treat a whole range of problems, the ethos of prevention being better than the cure is an important one.

As part of back care awareness week, Dr Jason O'Connor has three simple tips to take good care of your spine.

  • Move more - walk instead of drive or perhaps go for a walk in the middle of the work day.
  • Stand more - "sitting to the spine, is what sugar is to the teeth" - consider a standing desk or
  • Improve your posture - stand up straighter, keep your head up and if you have to sit down how about sitting on a wobble cushion or an inflatable ball.
