Schools across Harrogate, Craven & Wharfedale have been looking a little bit different today, as they celebrate World Book Day.

Taking place each year in March, World Book Day is a cherished date in the calendars of most Primary Schools.

It's a time to celebrate the favourite books of the younger members of the family, and what better way to do that than dressing up?

It might be a bit of a nightmare for the parents when it comes to putting together the costume, but who can resist these smiling faces?

Here's a round up of just some of the photos Nick Hancock, from the Stray FM Breakfast Show, collected when he toured round local schools.
