Wondering why Harrogate Town FC match days are becoming so popular with families?

We've narrowed it down to the top 7 reasons.

You've got two more home matches of this season to give it a go!

1. GOAL SUCCESS

You're most likely to see a goal at a Harrogate Town FC than with any other club in the same league!

They have scored 73 goals so far this season which is the highest in the National League, 10 more than the current league leaders Leyton Orient.

Come on town!

2. MATCH DAY FOOD

Provided by the award winning Burgers & More, food from the CNG stadium is a far cry from what you might expect.

The menu includes a special edition burger dedicated to the team with black and yellow cheese, homemade original recipes and vegan options.

"People seem to be stigmatised with 'we'll got to a game of football or a sports fixture and we'll accept what we're given' - your stereotypical frozen food.

"What we do is fresh.

"Our replacement of a sausage roll was a pork, chorizo and paprika roll which is made fresh in the restaurant.

"We do a burger wellington which is a beef patty with Harrogate blue cheese running through the burger, topped with garlic mushrooms, cooked in puff pastry and served with a homemade red wine gravy."

3. HARRY GATOR

The Harrogate Town FC mascot is the friendliest alligator around and never misses the opportunity to high five supporters at the game!

He doesn't stick around for long though, so best be snappy.

4. CHILDREN ON THE PITCH

Local schools and clubs in the Harrogate area have the opportunity to allow their children to take part in the game as mascots.

Harrogate company Precise Education helps link schools up with the club.

11-year old Jack who was a mascot at a recent game against Maidstone United described the experience as 'brilliant' and explained why he'd been chosen by his school, Hookstone Chase Primary, to take part:

"I was just very well behaved and obviously I get the chance to do playground duty, I was really good in that as well.

"it feels brilliant! Obviously I've got loads of fans chanting, it feels really good! We lined up, and then when they walked out, we just walked with them and then when we got to the half way line we shook their hands."

5. IMPORTANT CAUSES

Helping both local and national charities has always been important to the club with the Local Lotto, Centrepoint (youth homelessness charity) and Prostate Cancer UK all receiving support recently.

6. LET THE BUS TAKE THE FUSS

Getting to the game has never been easier! A Harrogate Town AFC deal with the Harrogate Bus Company is now allowing supporters to get return travel to the ground for just £2 for adults and £1 for children.  Just ask the bus driver when you hop on on the No 7 bus!

7. COULD YOUR CHILD BECOME A FOOTBALLER?

A wide range of opportunities are available for children of all ages to get involved with the club including the Player Development Centre for those aged 4 - 18 and the chance to gain a BTEC course with Harrogate College and the club
