Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate are gearing up for their summer instalment of 'Camp QE,' the multi-activity camp held throughout the school holidays.

  • Camp QE is held at the school's Thorpe Underwood Estate and is open to ALL local children aged 5-13.
  • Activities throughout the week range from popular sports through to rock climbing walls, trampolining, cooking and even laser shooting!
  • The activity week is set to run for three weeks throughout August, the first being Monday 5th - Friday 9th.

'Camp QE' is the exciting multi-activity week coming to Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate this Summer, utilising the state-of-the-art facilities at the North Yorkshire school.

Not limited to just Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate students, Camp QE invites all local children aged 5-13 to attend their action-packed camp - it promises to be a memorable one!

The activity week aims to provide a varied timetable in order to be as engaging and varied as possible, blending a variety of outdoor sports and games with indoor activities such as arts and crafts.

What activities will there be?

Camp QE gives local children the chance to experience the fantastic facilities at Queen Ethelburga's, held by independent-school coaching staff.

Every day is different and combines a great selection of outdoor and indoor games and sports including:

  • Popular sports such as football, rugby, tennis and cricket
  • Rock climbing walls
  • Trampolining
  • Skateboarding
  • Baking
  • Indoor sports such as basketball, dodgeball and table tennis
  • Arts and crafts
  • Tie-dying t-shirts

There are also cooking facilities at Queen Ethelburga's, giving Camp QE children the chance to test their culinary skills!

When is Camp QE?

Camp QE will run on the below dates during the school holidays, timetabled from 9am-4pm:

Monday 5th - Friday 9th August 2019

Monday 12th - Friday 16th August 2019

Monday 19th - Friday 23rd August 2019
